About Leslie
Leslie Fuentes is a Los Angeles-based Designer, Creative Director & Founder whose work lives at the intersection of music, culture and live experience.
Fuentes immigrated to Los Angeles at eight years old. Growing up around her mother’s own creative career introduced her early to the idea that creativity could become more than a form of expression. It could become a livelihood and eventually something you build for yourself. That foundation shaped the creative entrepreneur she would become.
For more than 16 years, Fuentes has created within music and the event space. A recurring muse throughout her work has been the strength and resilience of women. She has consistently sought to place women at the forefront both visually and on larger stages. That perspective carries into her creative language where women often appear as heroes, protagonists and larger-than-life figures.
Her career began at Insomniac Events. What started through street promotions led to a marketing internship and eventually a role she developed within the company’s marketing team. During her time there, Fuentes worked within the world surrounding Electric Daisy Carnival and received a credit in the 2014 documentary Under the Electric Sky.
She later spent several years working within a marketing agency before joining adidas in its Entertainment & Influencer Marketing department. Each chapter expanded her understanding of how design can move between music, entertainment, marketing, and culture.
Fuentes went on to co-found Reggaetonlandia and Pari Line. She has led creative for cultural properties including Gasolina Party, Piñata LA, Skyline Festival, Muevelo, Sad Foos, Cuffing Season, R&B With Love, Welcome to the West Festival, Flygrls, MAS EDM and The Moonlight Festival. She has also consulted for brands including Amai and Flyplant.
Her work with Reggaetonlandia was recognized by the Los Angeles Times as part of its inaugural LA Vanguardiafeature. Speaking about the vision behind the platform, Fuentes described its goal as creating a unique space within the event industry through “genre-bending EDM and reggaeton.” That instinct to bring different worlds together has remained central to her practice.
Everything Fuentes creates today is informed by the worlds she has moved through and helped build. She is now developing Buena Suerte, her creative agency and studio. Buena Suerte brings those experiences together into a practice centered on creative direction, design and cultural storytelling while giving Fuentes the freedom to continue building worlds of her own.
